Storage Specialist Solutions Architect – Auto & Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
  • Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
  • You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy storage and data strategies.
  • Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public‑speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc.
  • Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class Go‑to‑Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
  • Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
  • Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. storage, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, networking, data protection) experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cloud architecture.
  • Experience in technology/software sales, pre‑sales, or consulting.
  • Experience working with enterprise scale storage systems.
  • Experience with Block, Object, and File Storage Technologies.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, CA, Santa Clara – $176,600.00 – $239,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, NJ, Jersey City – $169,000.00 – $228,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, NY, New York – $169,000.00 – $228,600.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Bellevue – $153,600.00 – $207,800.00 USD annually
