Intellectual Property Associate Attorney

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IP attorney to join a leading IP. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact matters involving IP prosecution, transactions, and litigation across a wide range of industries and technologies.

Salary

Base pay range: $350,000.00/yr - $2,500,000.00/yr (Platinum Legal Search Group, LLC).

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent and/or trademark applications
• Conduct IP due diligence and freedom‑to‑operate analyses
• Advise on licensing, portfolio strategy, and IP enforcement
• Support litigation efforts including motion practice and trial prep
• Negotiate and draft IP-related agreements (licensing, development, confidentiality)

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active bar license; USPTO registration preferred for patent work
• 3–6 years of IP experience (litigation, prosecution, or transactions)
• Strong writing, analytical, and client‑facing skills
• Technical background in engineering, computer science, or life sciences preferred
• Experience in trademark prosecution and enforcement
• Tech transactions, open‑source compliance, and licensing
• Supporting IP in M&A and corporate transactions
