Sales Specialist
Sales Specialist plans, develops, and implements comprehensive and innovative marketing, public relations, and promotion programs aimed at increasing awareness of the designate service line. The specialist develops profitable business income for the company by maintaining current accounts and securing new business prospects through effective marketing, community service, and soliciting techniques. Responsibilities
Job Standards and Performance Expectations: Contacts prospective companies to determine client needs, identify decision makers, set appointments and close sales Contacts current and prospective clients to market additional healthcare services Monitors and reports competitor activity including products/services offered, pricing and delivery networks Assists the marketing team with development of promotional materials Reviews customer surveys and develops specific plans to address any areas of concern Maintains a well-organized sales and call plan from the initial prospect inquiry through the assessment of customer's needs to the procurement stage of profitable business Develops business development plan and tracks monthly activity Knowledge of all areas of our business including: Medical Center Services, Insurance Services, Preferred Provider Panels, Third-Party Administrators/Brokers, Workers' Compensation Laws & Regulations, OSHA Requirements, NIDA/Non-NIDA Drug Testing Regulations, Safety Services & Programs Maintains high level of confidentiality All other tasks as assigned Competencies: Technical Skills - Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs Interpersonal Skills Oral Communication - Responds well to questions Written Communication - Presents data effectively Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Contributes to building a positive team spirit Ethics - Keeps commitments; Works ethically and with integrity; Upholds organizational values Support - Follows policies and procedures Judgment - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions Motivation - Sets and achieves challenging goals; Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently Professionalism - Reacts well under pressure; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments Quality - Monitors' own work to ensure quality Adaptability - Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Dependability - Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goal Qualifications
