Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Executive (BDE) in the property restoration and disaster recovery industry is a key driver of revenue and growth. The BDE serves as the primary liaison between the restoration company and stakeholders such as insurance carriers, property managers, adjusters, and commercial facility owners.

Primary duties include:

Negotiating and executing formal service agreements such as Emergency Response Agreements (ERAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), or Contingency Plans.

Educating property owners and facility managers on proactive disaster planning to secure priority response, pre‑approved pricing, and minimized business disruption.

Managing the sales pipeline from prospecting through contract execution and ongoing account management.

Using CRM software (Dash, Salesforce, or specialized restoration CRMs) to maintain accurate client records, track lead progress, and log networking activities.

Submitting detailed weekly activity reports that outline visits, meetings, and progress toward revenue goals.

Handling ongoing account management and client retention, acting as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams.

Summary of Core Competencies

B2B Sales Expertise:

Proven ability to navigate long sales cycles, negotiate contracts, and close deals with commercial entities and insurance carriers.

Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of property damage restoration processes, construction terminology, and estimating software (e.g., Xactimate).

Strategic Planning:

Capability to develop geographic routing plans, target high‑value verticals, and create actionable business development strategies.

Interpersonal Skills:

Strong communication, relationship‑building, and conflict‑resolution skills to inspire loyalty and trust among referral partners.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience.

Strong process and results‑driven attitude.

Experience in the cleaning, restoration, or insurance industry is preferred.

Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies

Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
