Shenandoah University’s Office of Physical Therapy is accepting applications for an Administrative Specialist for Experiential Learning . This is a full-time, benefited position located in the Health Professions Building in Winchester, VA.

Position Description / Summary

Assist the Academic Director of Clinical Education (ADCE) in providing comprehensive planning and management of the clinical education component and be available to assist the Admissions Coordinator as needed in the management of the Admissions process. Position requires excellent office and interpersonal skills and knowledge of Windows 95 and Microsoft Office.

Specific Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Serve as liaison between the academic institution and the affiliating clinical facilities

field all phone calls between the clinical education office and all clinical facilities

track all onboarding information and keep current records of student requirements and required forms

prepare and generate all electronic mailings and correspondence to clinical sites - for both part-time and full-time clinical education experiences

Collaborate with Shenandoah’s Contract Specialist to track and maintain all new and existing physical therapy clinical contracts

Oversee student onboarding in preparation for upcoming clinical education experiences

Update contacts in EXXAT for clinical sites

Assist DCE/ADCE with preparation of clinical education reports for APTA/CAPTE

Assist the DCE in the coordination and planning of all Clinical Educators' Workshops

Maintain and confirm that all student records are up to date for: AHA CPR certification, liability insurance, health insurance, OSHA training, Bloodborne Pathogen training, and immunization records

Set up and maintain the online clinical education management system (EXXAT)

input all information on clinical sites

Assist students in updating EXXAT profiles and the compliance section

Assist with compliance for Integrated Clinical Experiences (ICEs)

Assist with exam proctoring within the Division of Physical Therapy, as needed

Facilitate annual clinical education awards

Support other staff within the Division of Physical Therapy, as needed

Required Skills

Working knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, email, electronic spreadsheets, and databases (preferred)

Required Experience
