Benefits Specialist – Health & Wellness
18‑month contract role with potential to convert to full‑time. Some onsite work required for meetings.
Principal Duties
Administers benefit plans in compliance with plan documents and contracts
Reconciliation and processing of benefits vendor invoices
Acts as a liaison between the organization and third‑party benefits providers
Audits monthly/weekly vendor enrollment and eligibility files
Works with HRIS and vendor to ensure accurate and timely data transmission
Supports and administers the day‑to‑day activities of external benefit administrators and vendors
Assists employees in understanding the organization’s benefits offerings
Supports orientation and/or enrollment meetings, advises on eligibility, costs, and coverage, and provides information for use in memos, presentations, or other benefits communications
Provides guidance during claims or enrollment processes
Maintains records related to benefits plans participation or contributions
Education
High School Diploma / GED required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Qualifications
Analytical skills required to resolve problems of a routine to moderately complex nature
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Accuracy required with speed of processing data, strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi‑task
Requires the highest level of customer service and quality in all interactions and transactions
