We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Export Agent
to manage export operations and support strategic customer accounts. This role is responsible for coordinating end-to-end shipment execution, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned strategic accounts and serve as the primary point of contact between customers, carriers, and logistics partners
Coordinate and execute end-to-end export shipments (air and ocean), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare, review, and distribute all required export documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal standards
Provide competitive air and ocean freight quotations tailored to customer requirements
Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the shipment lifecycle
Monitor shipments and resolve issues to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (TSA, ISO, TAPA, IMDG, etc.)
Utilize internal systems and software to manage daily shipment operations
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and contribute to new business development
Meet and exceed KPIs and operational performance standards
Contribute to process improvements, training initiatives, and overall team development
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation (freight forwarding preferred)
Strong knowledge of export operations, documentation, and compliance requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics/supply chain software systems
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Authorized to work in the United States
