Sr QA Engineer, Salesforce

The Sr Quality Assurance Engineer, Salesforce is responsible for executing high‑quality testing strategies across Salesforce platforms, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and integrity of enterprise applications. This senior individual‑contributor role partners closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to validate complex Salesforce solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead test planning and execution for Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud) and integrations.

Analyze business requirements, design documents, and user stories to develop and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases.

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for regression and end‑to‑end testing using Provar, Selenium, or UFT.

Ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and continuously improve testing efficiency.

Manage defect lifecycle (logging, tracking, triaging, and resolution validation) using Jira, TestRail, ALM, etc.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with developers, analysts, product owners, and PMs to align on requirements and expectations.

Maintain documentation of test execution, results, and defect reporting.

Track and report QA metrics (progress, defect density, pass/fail rates) and provide actionable insights.

Contribute to test automation frameworks and CI/CD‑integrated testing practices.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex testing issues across systems and environments.

Develop end‑to‑end test scenarios across workstreams and service domains.

Anticipate cross‑functional testing risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Mentor junior QA team members.

Participate in peer reviews of test artifacts.

Contribute to the evolution of QA processes, tools, and frameworks.

Stay current with emerging technologies, Salesforce updates, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.

7–10+ years of experience in software quality assurance across all SDLC phases.

Hands‑on experience testing Salesforce platforms and ecosystems.

Proven expertise in test automation (functional, regression, integration).

Experience in SaaS/cloud‑based applications.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.

Strong understanding of Salesforce custom vs standard functionality.

Proficiency in complex SQL queries for backend validation.

Experience testing multi‑system integrations and distributed architectures.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban).

Self‑motivated and adaptable in fast‑paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, etc.).

Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or Provar.

Experience testing Salesforce integrations with external systems and APIs.

Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.

Experience with web services testing (REST/SOAP APIs).

Exposure to additional testing frameworks and modern QA toolsets.

Physical & Office Requirements This primarily sedentary office position requires the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. Up to 25 % travel required.

This role is primarily remote, but candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of Irving, TX or Miami, FL—or within commuting distance of any Lennar hub—are expected to work onsite at least three days per week, or as directed by their manager.
