Business Analyst - Portfolio Management Platform Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months

Role Overview An experienced Business Analyst is sought to support the development and enhancement of a Portfolio Management (PM) platform. This role focuses on requirements gathering, user story development, data mapping, and agile delivery execution. The ideal candidate will possess business analysis skills and a working understanding of AI concepts to collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, technology teams, and data/AI partners on a platform that includes both traditional and AI‑enabled components.

Key Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering activities with business users, product owners, and subject matter experts.

Elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and non‑functional requirements.

Translate business needs into well‑defined user stories, features, and acceptance criteria.

Partner with Product Owners to maintain and refine the product backlog.

Participate in scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Perform source‑to‑target data mapping across systems supporting the PM platform.

Document data definitions, transformations, and business rules.

Work with AI, analytics, and engineering teams to define requirements for AI‑enabled features.

Serve as a liaison between business, product, and technology teams.

Maintain documentation for requirements, data mappings, and delivery artifacts.

Required Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology or platform initiatives. Proven ability in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation. Hands‑on experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and with data mapping, data analysis, and integration requirements.

Technical Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar agile delivery tools.

Compensation & Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00/hr to $64.00/hr. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
