Duties

Current civil service employees selected will be given new appointments to the civil service and subject to a new probationary period; however, benefits, time served, and other Federal entitlements may remain the same.

May require financial disclosure filing upon appointment and annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you possess the specialized experience and/or education for the grade level(s) to which you are applying.
GS-09 Specialized Experience: At least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service performing at least 3 of the following duties: performing financial analysis or support activities, assisting in budget formulation and execution, applying basic financial management principles and regulations, providing customer service and support. Your resume must show how you meet at least 3 of these 4 statements. Education options include master’s degree or two years of progressively higher-level graduate education; or a combination with transcripts.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service performing at least 3 of the following duties: conducting financial analysis of programs or operations, managing budget formulation and execution, applying financial laws/regulations/policies, advising or collaborating with stakeholders on financial management matters. Your resume must show how you meet at least 3 of these 4 statements. Education options include Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three years of progressively higher graduate-level education; or a combination with transcripts.
For both grade levels, provide clear and specific descriptions of your experience in your resume and ensure it supports your application response. A full-time year of work is 35-40 hours per week; part-time experience is credited proportionally. Volunteer experience may be credited if it translates to the required competencies.
