Peabody Properties, Inc. seeks an experienced and seasoned Property Manager to oversee apartment communities in Chelsea, MA.

The ideal candidate will effectively oversee all property operations and the overall direction of all site office and maintenance staff while ensuring compliance with the existing Project Based Section 8 program. Additional responsibilities include ensuring each property is optimally occupied, properly staffed with skilled personnel, preparing budgets, monitoring compliance within budget constraints, overseeing processing of all resident certification and recertification forms, and coordinating programs that assist residents in obtaining services. The candidate should also have experience working with community agencies and delivering social services to elders, families, and persons with disabilities, with a proven ability to solve problems through a concrete, results‑focused approach.

Requirements

Knowledgeable regarding conventional properties and affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, federally‑assisted, and all state and local housing regulations.

Strong time‑management skills and ability to prioritize.

Solid administrative, organizational, computer, marketing, and resident‑relations skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Self‑motivation and initiative.

Some traveling required.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED with at least 5 years of related property‑management and supervisory experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Knowledge of Onesite platform is a plus.

Experience in conventional property management and Project‑Based Section 8 recertification.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary of $80,000 to $87,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), STD, life insurance, Employee Assistance Programs, paid time off, paid holidays, paid training, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, employee referral bonuses, and flex spending.
