Position Description We are seeking a highly skilled

Employee Relations Specialist

to support a dynamic HR function focused on fostering a fair, compliant, and high-performing workplace. This role partners closely with leadership and employees to address workplace concerns, conduct investigations, and provide strategic guidance on

employee relations, performance management, and employment law compliance .

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on

employee relations issues, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace policies

Conduct

thorough, unbiased workplace investigations

and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risk

Interpret and apply

employment laws and regulations

(EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, HIPAA, etc.)

Provide guidance on

disciplinary actions , including reprimands, suspensions, and terminations

Maintain detailed, accurate, and legally defensible case documentation

Analyze employee data (exit surveys, turnover metrics, engagement insights) to identify trends and recommend improvements

Review and assess

performance appraisals

for fairness, consistency, and compliance

Partner with legal teams on

litigation support, unemployment hearings, and case analysis

Support organizational initiatives, HR projects, and training programs

Develop and deliver

clear internal communications

related to HR policies and practices

Collaborate cross-functionally to drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture

Required Skills/Education

Bachelor’s degree in

Human Resources, Business Administration , or related field (or equivalent experience)

5–10 years of experience in

Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, or HR Compliance

Strong knowledge of

federal, state, and local employment laws

(EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, HIPAA)

Proven experience conducting

workplace investigations and managing employee grievances

Excellent

analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence and advise leadership

Strong ability to manage

multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

High level of

confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism

Experience using HR systems and navigating multiple applications

Preferred Qualifications

Professional HR certification ( PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP )

Experience supporting large, complex organizations

Familiarity with HR policies, procedures, and organizational operations in regulated environments
