Position Information
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA, conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Minimum one year of intercollegiate coaching experience.
Proven experience in collegiate recruiting.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
A valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University’s insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
Coaching experience at the Division I level.
History of successful recruiting.

Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position Purpose
Administer educationally sound competitive Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs, within the rules and policies of any conference Oakland University may enter and NCAA legislated guidelines, and within the assigned fiscal budget as allocated. Plan and implement all phases of the Programs, including student‑athlete recruitment, scheduling, conducting practice sessions, conditioning programs, public relations activities and scouting/game preparation. Administer a sound and productive recruiting program within the university policies. Provide assistance as necessary with the departmental fundraising and public relations programs. Perform other duties outside of those related to golf as assigned by the Director of Athletics and/or sport administrator.
