Southlake Health Foundation is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Communications Student to support a wide range of marketing initiatives. From content creation to campaign coordination, this role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment supporting healthcare fundraising.Reporting to the Associate Manager, Marketing Communications, you’ll play a key role in bringing campaigns and stories to life across digital, print, and event channels.**What You’ll Do*** Assist in planning, executing, and tracking marketing communications campaigns* Support project management of large-scale marketing initiatives* Coordinate approvals and timelines across multiple projects* Liaise with external vendors, advertisers, and partners as needed* Assist in developing marketing performance reports (analytics, media monitoring, social insights)* Help coordinate multimedia content (photo shoots, video shoots, interviews* Write and develop engaging content for social media, campaigns, and events* Support creation of marketing materials for fundraising and community initiatives* Assist with internal communications (newsletters, presentations, etc.)* Attend events to capture content (photos, videos, social posts) and support execution* Contribute to media relations activities, including press releases and coordination* Support media planning and buying alongside the marketing team* Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and professional environment* Act as an ambassador for the Foundation in the community* Maintain confidentiality of donor and organizational information* Deliver exceptional experiences in all stakeholder interactions* Support and reflect the Foundation’s mission, values, and strategic priorities**What You Bring*** Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or related post-secondary program* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills* Experience with social media platforms and content creation* Familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, and Microsoft Office* Basic understanding of analytics and digital performance tracking* Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment* Experience with photography or visual content creation is an asset* Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision* Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends for events**Nice to Have:*** Experience in a non-profit environment* Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge* Gain hands-on experience across campaigns, content, and events* Build a strong portfolio of real-world marketing work* Work with a collaborative, supportive team* Contribute to a meaningful mission in healthcareSouthlake Health is fully committed to a culture of belonging and an inclusive environment that encourages every team member to lead within their role, generate innovative ideas that reinforce our mission and goal to create a healthy workplace where our community can thrive.Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.We are committed to a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier-free.
