Senior Data Strategist
Barbarian is seeking a Senior Data Strategist to join our Strategy Insights team. Reporting to the Director of Data Insights, you will collaborate closely with Creative, Tech, Accounts, Media, and other disciplines, bringing analytical rigor and strategic thinking to support client success.
This role sits at the intersection of data, insights, and strategy. You’ll analyze performance and audience data, identify meaningful patterns, and translate those findings into strategic recommendations that inform briefs, campaigns, and marketing decisions.
You will help teams move from data to insight to action, ensuring our work is grounded in evidence while still fueling strong creative thinking.
Responsibilities: Your Day to Day
Analyze campaign and multi-channel performance across social, web, and marketing platforms to identify patterns, opportunities, and insights
Translate analytical findings into clear strategic implications for internal teams and clients
Partner with strategy, creative, and account teams to ensure insights inform briefs, messaging, and campaign development
Use audience, cultural, and competitive data to support strategic thinking and opportunity identification
Pull insights from audience and intelligence platforms (e.g., GWI, SimilarWeb) and apply them to strategy development
Leverage social listening and influencer analytics tools (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout, influencer reporting platforms) to understand trends, creators, and audience behavior
Lead analytical portions of projects including measurement planning, campaign analysis, and insight development
Present insights and recommendations to internal teams and clients in clear, compelling ways
Identify opportunities for optimization, experimentation, and measurement improvements
Contribute to strategic POVs, briefs, and narratives grounded in data and audience insight
Support pitches and business development efforts through insight generation, research, and analytical frameworks
Manage your own priorities, deliverables, and timelines across multiple projects

Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of experience in analytics, insights, or strategy roles within an agency, consultancy, or marketing environment
Experience working with digital marketing, social performance, or audience data
Familiarity with audience and consumer insight tools (e.g., GWI, SimilarWeb, syndicated research platforms)
Familiarity with social listening and influencer analytics platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout, creator analytics tools)
Familiarity with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4) or similar tools
Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear strategic insights and recommendations
Experience contributing to insight‑driven briefs or strategic documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting insights to internal teams or clients
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced agency environment
Curiosity about emerging tools, platforms, and trends shaping digital marketing and consumer behavior
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in analytics, marketing, strategy, or related fields. Relevant certifications, technical training, or analytics bootcamps are also welcomed
Our estimated salary range for this role is $110K - $125K
Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
