About This Role
The position is within the processing unit, which is integral to maintaining office efficiencies, progression in review of student files, and overall smooth management of delivering federal student aid. The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and efficient processing occurs on financial aid files. The position ensures students have an accurate cost of attendance, eligibility criteria is reviewed, financial aid offers are made routinely, adjustments to financial aid offers reflect changes in eligibility, etc. The position reviews various reports and queries which target student financial aid files for a specific action.
The position is also responsible for auditing specific fields on a student's free application for federal student aid (FASFA) to verify accuracy. The position assists with federal work study, employee tuition benefit programs, and with loan processing.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and three years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher
Experience in a business-related field, such as accounting, finance, or tax preparation
Experience working in a financial aid office
Experience in researching and interpreting regulations and compliance related topics
Complex, analytical thinking skills
Additional Role Information:
Individual may not be in default on a federal student loan and/or owe an overpayment on a federal student aid grant - to ensure that the individual may be issued access to various student aid databases by the U.S. Department of Education essential to completing tasks associated with this position.
Sponsorship eligibility:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
