What You’ll Do
The Vice President of Performance will lead and scale our customer acquisition and growth engine across paid media, paid search, affiliate, influencer, SEO, and marketing analytics. This role owns growth performance end to end—balancing speed, efficiency, and long‑term value—while building a best‑in‑class, data‑driven growth organization. You will help evolve Whisker from performance‑reliant advertising to branded‑performance marketing, turning Whisker into a household name through powerful storytelling, bold creativity, and more accountable, data‑driven decision‑making.

You’ll be responsible for translating company revenue and margin goals into a disciplined growth strategy, optimizing channel mix, and ensuring strong measurement, attribution, and insight generation across the funnel. This is a highly cross‑functional role with direct influence on company trajectory.

Owns the growth roadmap across acquisition channels, aligned to revenue, CAC, LTV, and margin targets

Defines short- and long‑term growth strategies that scale profitably

Partners closely with Brand, Creative, Product, Finance, and Data teams to align priorities and execution

Oversees paid acquisition across channels including paid social, search, shopping, CTV, display, and emerging platforms

Ensures disciplined budget allocation, experimentation frameworks, and creative learning agendas

Balances performance efficiency with brand investment and long‑term growth

Owns affiliate strategy, including partner recruitment, optimization, and scaling

Develops commission structures, incentives, and partnerships that drive incremental growth

Ensure strong measurement and fraud prevention practices

Leads SEO strategy across technical SEO and content

Partners with Product, Engineering, and Content teams to unlock sustainable organic growth

Ensures growth strategy is fully integrated into product launches and GTM plans

Owns marketing analytics, attribution, and reporting across all acquisition channels

Defines and monitors core growth metrics: CAC, LTV, payback period, ROAS, incrementality

Builds clarity around channel performance, forecasting, and budget tradeoffs

Partners with Finance on planning, modeling, and performance reviews

Builds, leads, and develops a high‑performing growth organization across media, SEO, affiliates, and analytics

Sets clear goals, accountability, and development paths for leaders and ICs

Establishes scalable processes, tooling, and agency relationships where appropriate

Performs additional responsibilities when required

Leadership Responsibilities
Directly supervises growth teams. Carries out supervisory responsibilities following Whisker policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, training, and hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines. BA in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or Communications and/or equivalent years of experience.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years of experience in growth, performance marketing, or acquisition leadership

Proven experience scaling subscription and repeat‑purchase DTC brands

Deep expertise in paid media with a focus on paid social, paid search, affiliate, influencer, and SEO

Strong command of marketing analytics, attribution, and growth economics

Experience managing large budgets and driving profitable growth

Experience building or scaling in‑house growth and analytics teams

Strong cross‑functional leadership and executive communication skills

Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with ambiguity

Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information

Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast‑paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions

A high degree of initiative, self‑motivation, and ability to motivate others

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and colleagues

Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)
