
Director of Development And Alumni Relations (Syracuse)

CR Fletcher is recruiting for an experienced Director of Alumni & Development to lead alumni engagement, annual fundraising, major gift cultivation, and donor stewardship efforts. This role oversees communications, events, scholarship administration, and alumni association operations while working closely with institutional leadership and board of directors.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute annual fundraising efforts through direct mail, digital outreach, events, and personal solicitation.
Cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors while building sustained donor relationships.
Oversee alumni programs, engagement events, and institutional ceremonies.
Develop and manage alumni communications including newsletters, email, web, and social media.
Provide leadership and support to a volunteer board; assist with governance, reporting, and member engagement.
Administer alumni-related budgets, endowed scholarships, and donor-funded programs.
Maintain alumni records and historical documentation.
Collaborate with foundation and institutional partners on development initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and minimum three to five years of relevant experience in development, alumni relations, or nonprofit fundraising.
Strong communication, writing, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Proven experience with annual giving and major gifts highly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and flexibility for events and meetings.
