Change & Communications Lead – Retail Transformation (Relex) (Houston)

Evolve Partners, Houston, TX, United States

Overview:
We are supporting a large US grocery retailer on a major transformation programme centred around the implementation of Relex.

They are looking for a Change & Communications Lead to take ownership of how the business adopts and operationalises the platform, not just supporting delivery, but leading the people side of transformation end-to-end.

This is a high-visibility role, working closely with programme leadership and senior stakeholders across merchandising, supply chain, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Define and lead the end-to-end change strategy for a Relex transformation
Own stakeholder engagement, communications, and business readiness
Conduct change impact assessments and drive adoption planning
Lead communications across multiple business units (hands-on)
Build and execute readiness and adoption frameworks
Partner closely with Programme Lead and business leadership
Ensure successful embedding of new processes and ways of working

Required Experience (Essential):
Hands-on experience working on a Relex implementation
Proven ownership of change delivery at programme level (not just a workstream)
Experience within grocery or large-scale retail environments
Strong background in change management, communications, and adoption
Ability to operate with senior stakeholders (Director / VP level)

Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel and work onsite as required
Authorised to work in the US without sponsorship

Nice to Have:
Experience with planning / forecasting / merchandising systems
Background in consulting or large-scale transformation programmes

Engagement:
Permanent preferred, but contract options available
High-impact role with significant ownership and visibility

Apply / Enquire:
Given the niche nature of this programme, we are engaging with a small number of relevant profiles.

If you have worked on a Relex transformation and led change at programme level, we’d be keen to speak.
