Facilities Technician (Alpharetta)

Summary:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring that the building and utilities systems are functioning properly and efficiently. Including but not limited to perform preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on systems such as air conditioning, HVAC, exhaust systems, pumps, plumbing and electrical building systems

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and diagnose problems.
Support routine inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency light/eyewash/showers, and safety equipment.
Recognize unsafe conditions (chemical/water leaks, odors, ventilation failures).
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs on lighting, receptacles, and low voltage motors and controls
Plumbing and HVAC repairs and maintenance.
Perform office furniture repairs, replacing light fixtures ensuring all the systems are working properly to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
Maintaining records of maintenance activities and inspection through a Computer Maintenance Management System.
Assist with escorting and coordinating contractors (HVAC, fire protection, utilities, landscaping, roofing).
Verify work areas are left in a safe and operational condition after contractor activities
Participate in Facilities KPI’s, planning and work prioritization discussion
Regular inspections and compliance to confirm all the functions are compliant with safety regulations and operational policies.
Respond to Facility Emergency repairs including diagnose system failures and make prompt fixes to reduce downtime and operation disruptions (fire alarm activations, power outages, water leaks, equipment failures).
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
Confer with management and other personnel to implement operatingprocedures and resolve system malfunctions.
Assist other departments with their maintenance needs.
Team-player; works cooperatively with others to solve problemsand proactively helpsothers when assistance is needed.
Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3-years’ experience in facility maintenance and repairs.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on abilities.
Ability to follow technical written procedures and equipment Manual.
Knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment.
Ability to do basic electrical work on lighting, receptacles, motors, and equipment controls..
Ability to think independently and sound technical judgment, as well asconsistently collaborate and communicate with management.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work in a challenging and consistently changing environment.
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours a day, occasionally requiredto stoop, bend, or kneel, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other diverse physical tasks as needed.
Familiarity with industrial ventilation/exhaust systems preferred
Experience working in ISO‑ or FDA‑regulated manufacturing environments preferred

Language Skills:
English required, bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Physical Demands:
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distancevision, color vision,peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, non-temperature-controlled production floor,temperature- controlled office.
