Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians to fill vital temporary roles that support our nation's Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. In this role, you'll conduct interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing, to support Veterans' benefit determinations. No prescribing or treatment is involved. Candidates must have their own office within a 50-mile radius in New Hampshire, with available shifts of half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours). This PRN, ongoing position offers the flexibility to work one or more designated days per week, including in Lincoln or Lebanon, NH. Required Skills: Medical license in good standing (family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine background) Experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred Strong interview skills and physical assessment capabilities Ability to manage documentation efficiently and accurately Self-sufficient with a private practice setting and own office space Reliable transportation within the specified geographical area Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with Veterans Affairs assessments Certification in medical evaluation or related fields Familiarity with telehealth tools and electronic medical records Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine Previous experience in disability or benefits evaluations a plus Other Requirements: Own office within 50 miles of designated locations Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams Ability to perform both interview-based assessments and physical testing Travel reimbursement included within rates This role offers an hourly flat rate of $800 for half-day shifts and $1,600 for full-day shifts, with no overtime, holiday pay, or additional reimbursements outside the established rates. A one-time bonus of $650 is available upon completing training and initial exams. Local candidates only; travel costs are covered within the pay structure.
