Doctor of Medicine | Administration Location: Kentucky, KY Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - General Medicine in Kentucky Seeking dedicated and skilled General Medicine Providers to deliver essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Kentucky. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments, including physical examinations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, without the need for prescribing or treatment. You will work independently from your own office location within a designated 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY, performing one-time or ongoing exams on a PRN basis. Whether choosing half-day or full-day shifts, you will have the flexibility to accommodate your schedule while offering invaluable service to our Veterans. Required Skills: Medical degree from an accredited institution (MD/DO) Licensure in Kentucky (KY) Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery Ability to perform interview-based assessments with minimal physical intervention Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Competency in completing detailed reports and documentation Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military veteran assessments Certification in medical evaluations or related fields Familiarity with VA or federal healthcare procedures Additional certifications such as DMA (not mandatory) Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution Valid KY medical license Prior experience in general medicine or veteran assessments At least 2 years of clinical practice Other Requirements: Own a suitable office location in Kentucky Willingness to work PRN with flexible hours Ability to complete exams within designated timeframes and submit reports promptly Participation in required training and onboarding processes This position offers competitive flat-rate compensation: $800 for half-day shifts (up to 4 hours), $1,600 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more), including travel within Kentucky. A one-time bonus of $650 applies upon completing all initial training and your first exams. Local candidates only will be considered. Please note that rates adhere to the specified structure; overtime, holiday, or hourly rates are not applicable. Additional administrative follow-up tasks are included in your rate.
