Cali BBQ Media is hiring a YouTube-native creator/operator based in San Diego.
This is not a videographer role.
This is not a social media intern role.
This is a hands‑on content operator position for someone who understands how YouTube actually works — from filming to publishing to performance.
What You’ll Own
Film and produce YouTube content (iPhone or pro camera — quality matters, not gear flexing)
Shoot and produce podcasts (multi‑cam, clean audio, proper lighting)
Edit for retention and watch time
Create titles, thumbnails, tags, and descriptions
Publish and optimize for performance
Repurpose long‑form into Shorts and vertical clips
Follow brand standards for B2B clients in restaurant technology and hospitality
What We’re Looking For
You run your own YouTube channel (required)
You understand CTR, retention, and YouTube analytics
You’ve had videos perform — and you know why
You can show your workflow from shoot to publish
You can operate independently without constant direction
You care about results, not just aesthetics
If you’ve never logged into YouTube Studio and studied your analytics, this isn’t for you.
What Success Looks Like
Consistent weekly publishing
Increasing views, subscribers, and engagement
Strong audience retention
Clean, professional execution for brand clients
Structure
Path to full‑time for the right operator
