Job Description Bachelors or Masters degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful role supporting high school students as a School Psychologist on a contract assignment for the upcoming academic year. This position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027, offering you the opportunity to make a direct impact in an educational setting near Dekalb, IL. In this role, you’ll work onsite with a manageable caseload of approximately 30 high school students, focusing on assessments, interventions, and ongoing consultation with staff and families. Your expertise will help guide students through academic, social, and emotional challenges, contributing to their overall success. Qualifications & Requirements:Active and valid Illinois School Psychologist licensure is requiredPrior experience working with high school students is preferredStrong skills in conducting student evaluations, developing intervention strategies, and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs)Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with students, faculty, and parentsMust be able to work onsite throughout the duration of the assignment Key Responsibilities:Conduct psychological assessments and report findings for assigned studentsDevelop, implement, and monitor intervention plans tailored to individual student needsProvide crisis intervention and counseling, as neededParticipate as a key member of the IEP team, collaborating with educators and familiesMaintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations This assignment features consistent daytime hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and a rewarding professional experience in the school setting.
