*The Role*
*We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to handle an active litigation caseload. The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-driven, and ready to take on responsibilities from case initiation through trial.*
*Responsibilities:*
* *Represent clients in all phases of personal injury litigation*
* *Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery*
* *Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts*
* *Conduct mediations, pre-trial hearings, and court appearances*
* *Try cases to jurors in Ohio courts*
* *Responsible for some pre-litigation files*
* *Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and develop case strategies*
* *Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies*
* *Work closely with paralegals, investigators, and support staff*
* *Maintain meticulous case records and documentation*
* *Stay updated on legal developments affecting personal injury practice*
*Requirements*
* *Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school*
* *Licensed and in good standing to practice in Ohio*
* *Minimum 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation*
* *Minimum 2-5 years of plaintiff or defense personal injury practice*
* *Strong grasp of case management, pleadings, discovery, and trial prep*
* *Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills*
* *Strong communication and interpersonal abilities*
* *Ability to meet deadlines and manage caseload independently and as part of a team*
*Preferred Qualifications*
* *Experience handling motor vehicle accident cases, including truck accidents*
* *Trial experience (at least one jury trial preferred)*
* *Active membership in the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, or American Association for Justice*
* *Civil trial advocacy certification is a plus*
