Overview
A leading AI cloud infrastructure provider is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead to take ownership of electrical engineering across a portfolio of large-scale data centre projects.
The organisation delivers high-performance GPU infrastructure for AI training and inference, supported by a vertically integrated platform and powered by 100% renewable energy. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical strategy and technical delivery across mission-critical environments.

The Role
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this individual will act as the technical authority and discipline lead for all electrical engineering activities.
The role provides strategic oversight, governance, and leadership across electrical system design, power distribution infrastructure, equipment integration, and operational support, ensuring standardisation, compliance, and reliability across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the electrical discipline lead and technical authority across all projects
• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers (senior to junior level)
• Establish and maintain electrical standards, design criteria, and technical specifications
• Provide final review and approval of electrical designs and engineering deliverables
• Oversee design and validation of low voltage systems for custom equipment (switchboards, generators, power distribution)
• Lead technical reviews, constructability assessments, and risk evaluations
• Act as the key interface between engineering, manufacturing, QA/QC, and project teams
• Support customer interactions on complex technical discussions
• Ensure all documentation meets internal standards and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, providing recommendations to senior leadership
• Support FAT, commissioning, and manufacturing activities
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and wider teams
• Monitor industry trends, codes, and regulatory changes, ensuring continuous improvement

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration in Texas (Oklahoma beneficial)
• 10+ years’ experience in electrical engineering within data centres, industrial, or manufacturing environments
• Proven experience as a discipline lead or senior technical authority on complex projects
• Strong expertise in low voltage systems, switchgear, switchboards, and generator integration
• Deep knowledge of electrical standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL)
• Experience in equipment validation, protection systems, and power distribution products
• Background supporting manufacturing, FAT, and commissioning
• Ability to lead technical risk assessments and influence senior stakeholders
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience within mission-critical or data centre environments highly desirable
