Job Title:
Windows 11 Deployment Technician
Location:
Boston, MA (5 days onsite)
Overview:
We are seeking a Deployment Technician to support a large-scale Windows 11 migration initiative. This project involves upgrading and deploying approximately 5,000 devices across an enterprise environment, including both new hardware rollouts and in-place upgrades of existing machines (starting with laptops). This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, with potential for extension based on additional upcoming initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Perform Windows 11 upgrades on existing devices and deploy new machines
Configure, image, and provision laptops and desktops
Migrate user data, settings, and applications as needed
Troubleshoot hardware and OS-related issues during deployment
Provide basic end-user support during and after device rollout
Track and document progress, issues, and resolutions
Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure smooth deployment execution
Requirements:
2+ years of hands-on desktop support or deployment experience
Strong experience with Windows 10/11 imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with device provisioning tools and processes (e.g., SCCM, Intune, or similar)
Experience with large-scale device rollouts or migration projects preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Boston
Additional Details:
Immediate need for 1 technician, with potential to add additional resources as the project ramps
Project expected to run through October with possible extension based on additional workstreams
