This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the financial strength of the organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead all aspects of performance while fostering a culture rooted in service, accountability, and community engagement.
What You’ll Do
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction aligned with Board-approved goals.
Develop and execute strategies, programs, and policies that support sustainable growth.
Oversee all operational areas to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
Monitor economic and market trends to inform liquidity, pricing, and investment decisions.
Lead financial management efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and ALM.
Safeguard assets and maintain strong internal controls across the organization.
Prepare and present financial and operational reports to the Board of Directors.
Oversee investment strategy to ensure long-term financial health and stability.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements.
Guide lending and credit strategies aligned with risk tolerance and liquidity needs.
Drive talent strategy, including recruitment, development, and succession planning.
Build and maintain relationships with members, employees, and community stakeholders.
Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and high performance.
Delegate effectively while maintaining appropriate executive oversight.
What You Bring
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in banking or credit unions.
Proven executive-level leadership within a financial institution.
Strong knowledge of credit union operations, financial management, and regulations.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution.
Deep understanding of financial reporting, ALM, and investment strategies.
Experience working with and reporting to a Board of Directors.
Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
