Job Description – EPC Project Manager
Location: Jackson, MI or any service center in Michigan (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+Month Assignment (High Possibility of Extension)
Department: HVD program management - interconnections - 46 KV, 138 KV are two primary voltages.
Team is expanding footprint and need additional support to drive these programs. High voltage distribution (not transmission)
Projects are for line work including pole-top assemblies, pole replacements, linery builds, pole-top rehab (pole-top assemblies over a long distance) and line sensors
Key Responsibilities:
no power plant work! working on electric distribution 9 HVD and sub work
each person will work on 145 projects/work orders simultaneously between $30-$60M they are overseeing
managing projects from conception, through design and through procurement and execution in the field
positions heavily integrated into data - managing projects from conception through design into procurement and execution into the field (need to have the ability to take that information and put it into reports)
take information gained from the field and put it into reports
May pick up some new projects involving drones, fencing, expansions, transformer replacements, etc.
Some elements of project controls side of these positions as well such as review the scope, review the cost, review the schedule and provide informed communication to project stakeholders and management
Required Skills:
power/electrical background would be preferred but would consider any background
be able to analyze data
people that can work in MS Excel and Power BI is a plus
Unifier experience a plus
ProjectWise experience a plus
bachelors degree not required
10+ years of experience
Strong PM background with excellent communication skills
Utility background preferred, but not required
