Job Description
Overview
The High Voltage Distribution (HVD) Program Management team is expanding its footprint and is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support ongoing and upcoming initiatives. This role focuses on electric distribution (not transmission or power plant work), specifically within 46 kV and 138 kV interconnections.
The team currently consists of 9 members, including Project Managers and Resource Planners, led by a Program Manager overseeing multiple functional areas. Project Managers typically work within smaller sub-teams while collaborating with a broad group of stakeholders across engineering, supply chain, construction, permitting, environmental, and other functions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a high volume of projects/work orders (approximately 145 simultaneously), with total portfolio values ranging from $30M–$60M
Oversee projects across the full lifecycle: from conception and design through procurement and field execution
Work on electric distribution projects, including:
Line construction and rebuilds
Pole replacements and pole-top assemblies
Pole-top rehabilitation over long distances
Line sensor installations
Collect and analyze field data, translating insights into clear, actionable reports
Ensure effective communication of project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and leadership
Participate in project controls activities, including:
Scope, cost, and schedule reviews
Providing data-driven recommendations
Support additional initiatives such as drone projects, fencing, system expansions, and transformer replacements
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of project management experience
Strong project management fundamentals with excellent communication skills
Ability to manage and analyze large datasets and translate them into reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is a plus
Experience with Unifier and/or ProjectWise is a plus
Utility or electrical/power background preferred, but not required
Bachelor’s degree not required
