Director of Accounting | GAAP & Financial Close Leader
We are hiring a Director of Accounting to lead GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and the monthly close for a growing, multi‑entity organization. This role offers strong visibility to executive leadership and the opportunity to build scalable, best‑in‑class close and reporting processes.
What You’ll Do
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close, ensuring accurate and timely GAAP financials
Lead GAAP accounting and technical accounting matters, including consolidations, accruals, and complex ownership structures
Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables
Private equity or JV accounting experience preferred
Partner with auditors and tax advisors; support audits and annual filings
Drive process improvements, internal controls, and scalable close procedures
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team
Support M&A activity, including due diligence and post‑close integration
What We’re Looking For
CPA with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP and financial statement close management
Experience in a fast‑paced or PE‑backed environment preferred
Strong systems aptitude; NetSuite experience a plus
