OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Wireless Network Engineer with a strong background in enterprise wireless infrastructure and network operations to support the delivery and maintenance of large-scale networking environments. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners — including network operations, service desk, and infrastructure teams — to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure that wireless solutions align with business and operational objectives.

This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced operational environments and is comfortable working with complex network systems, authentication frameworks, and enterprise-grade wireless technologies.

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)
Contract Length: 9 Months (Extension Possible)
Hours: 9 AM–5 PM PST

Pay: $50-55 on W2

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a senior escalation point for wireless incidents originating from service desk and network operations teams.

Troubleshoot complex wireless performance, connectivity, and authentication issues in enterprise environments.

Conduct root cause analysis and drive incident resolution in alignment with SLAs and operational standards.

Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless infrastructure including Cisco WLCs (9800 series), Juniper Mist, and Meraki platforms.

Perform software upgrades, configuration changes, and lifecycle maintenance across wireless environments.

Conduct wireless site surveys (pre- and post-deployment) and perform onsite diagnostics and remediation.

Analyze RF performance, coverage, and interference, providing actionable recommendations for optimization.

Design, implement, and troubleshoot wireless authentication solutions including 802.1X, EAP, and RADIUS.

Support and manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.

Configure and troubleshoot access-layer networking including VLANs, trunking, access ports, and PoE.

Utilize CLI tools to diagnose Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity issues impacting wireless services.

Plan and execute network changes following structured change management processes, including risk assessment and rollback planning.

Develop and maintain documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and support guides for operational teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, testing, and continuous improvement of network services.

Provide on-call or after-hours support for critical incidents and maintenance activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of progressive network engineering experience, preferably within enterprise or large-scale environments.

Proven experience delivering and supporting wireless infrastructure initiatives across at least one of the following areas:

Enterprise Wireless Networks: Cisco WLCs, Access Points, RF design, and performance optimization.

Cloud-Managed Wireless Platforms: Juniper Mist and/or Meraki environments.

Network Security & Authentication: 802.1X, EAP, RADIUS, and Cisco ISE implementations.

Strong understanding of network operations and incident management in an escalation-driven environment.

Hands‑on experience with access‑layer switching, VLAN configuration, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency with CLI‑based troubleshooting across Cisco and Juniper networking devices.

Experience with documentation tools and platforms to create operational and technical artifacts.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred

Experience supporting large enterprise or global network environments.

Relevant certifications such as CCNP Wireless, CWNA, Juniper Mist, or Meraki certifications.

Familiarity with ITIL or structured IT operations frameworks.

Experience conducting wireless site surveys and producing detailed RF analysis reports.
