Responsibilities
MSP serving the Mid-Missouri market
Supports clients primarily in Columbia and Jefferson City
Client base is mostly SMB, with 30–40% project-based work for small enterprises and school districts
Parent company is an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Team size: ~17 employees
Growth rate: ~20% year-over-year
Primary network partner: Juniper
Fortinet partner
Experience with:
Fortinet firewalls
SonicWall firewalls
Cisco (basic networking)
Aruba (strong plus)
Multi-vendor environments
Strong focus on routing and switching
Ability to Install a network from the ground up with minimal guidance
Good understanding of networking fundamentals (Layer 2 & Layer 3)
Ability to travel, primarily day trips 1–2 times per year
Ability to work on projects which may require a week-long stay ( less than 2 hours away)
Ability to work 5 days onsite
Ability to work typical hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Flexibility between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Requirements
Solid, experienced Network Engineer
Years of experience:
Flexible (focused on qualification rather than tenure)
Typically 3+ years minimum
Could be 5+ years (with a degree) or 7+ years (without)
MSP experience (Not required but preferred)
Certifications (Not required, but useful for skill validation)
Team-oriented and collaborative
Comfortable working under a Network CTO
Strong escalation experience in an MSP environment
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
Genuine interest in the role, company mission, and long-term goals
Willing to learn and help others
Values documentation and knowledge sharing
High level of customer interaction required
Significant long-term growth potential
