We are seeking an experienced
Network Engineer
with strong
Cisco infrastructure expertise
and proven experience supporting
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
activities. This role will focus on network integration, migration, staging, deployment, and support of enterprise network environments during acquisition and merger transitions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and WAN/LAN infrastructure , along with the ability to work onsite in Houston and support occasional weekend staging and cutover activities.
This is a fast-paced contract opportunity for someone who can quickly step in, assess existing environments, and execute network integration plans with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
Strong experience as a Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineer
Must have hands-on experience supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects
Deep expertise in Cisco technologies
Routing & Switching
Firewalls
LAN / WAN
Wireless Networks
VPN / Network Security
VoIP (preferred)
Experience with network staging, deployment, and migration activities
Ability to support
weekend work
for staging, cutovers, and implementation
Must be located in
Houston, TX
and able to work onsite as needed
Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA
or
CCNP
certification highly preferred
Experience with enterprise network migrations and integration planning
Experience working in large-scale corporate environments
Ability to start within
2 weeks of offer
Responsibilities:
Support network infrastructure during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
Plan and execute network migrations, cutovers, and integrations
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Coordinate staging and deployment activities during weekends when required
Work closely with infrastructure, security, and business teams
Ensure network stability, security, and minimal downtime during transitions
Document network changes, configurations, and implementation plans
