Job Description Litigation Attorney(3-6 years) Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney with 3-6+ years of experience to join our commercial litigation team. The successful candidate will manage a docket of contested matters, advise clients on dispute strategy, and represent clients in state and federal courts and arbitration. This role requires strong litigation skills, commercial law knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues while handling matters from discovery through trial and appeal.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of commercial litigation matters, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparationCounsel clients on litigation strategy, risk assessment, settlement options, and regulatory complianceDraft and file complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and other court submissions in state and federal courtsConduct fact investigation, take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and coordinate expert witnessesNegotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitrationWork collaboratively with partners, associates, paralegals, and outside counsel to deliver seamless client serviceMaintain accurate matter budgets, billing records, and case status reports; meet firm productivity and client service goalsStay current on developments in commercial law and litigation practices and contribute to business development and client relationship efforts QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar in the hiring jurisdictionat least 3-6+ years of hands-on litigation experience, preferably with a focus on commercial disputesProven experience in drafting litigation documents, conducting discovery, taking depositions, and managing trial preparationStrong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive arguments under tight deadlinesComfortable representing clients in state and federal courts and in arbitration forumsExcellent client-facing skills, professional judgment, and the ability to explain complex legal issues clearlyAbility to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and meet deadlinesPrior experience in commercial law or matters involving contracts, corporate disputes, or business torts is highly preferredDemonstrated commitment to ethical practice, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
