
Business Development Manager

About the Role The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by strengthening existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. This role owns a portfolio of accounts, meets or exceeds sales targets, and plays a key role in shaping sales strategy through proactive relationship management and market insight.
Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers through regular, value-driven communication
Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas through strategic account management and proactive selling
Develop and execute account-specific sales and marketing strategies to support long-term growth
Travel regularly to meet customers in person and strengthen partnerships
Dedicate approximately 50% of time to prospecting and new business development, including cold outreach and lead generation
Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, services, industry trends, regional market conditions, and customer needs
Grow existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities and recommending complementary solutions
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and requests
Ensure a high-quality customer experience by following company standards, policies, and processes
Document customer interactions, opportunities, and insights accurately in the internal CRM system (CAM)
Provide market intelligence on pricing, competitive activity, customer feedback, and product opportunities
Leverage company-provided tools and technology to improve productivity and sales effectiveness
Identify and recommend improvements to sales processes to enhance customer engagement and results
Follow up weekly on quotes and open opportunities to drive timely deal closure
Collaborate closely with Purchasing and internal teams to refine pricing and improve win rates
Commit to continuous professional development through training, industry events, and ongoing learning
