Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding opportunity is available for a part-time Physical Therapist to provide essential services to elementary students in a supportive educational setting. This contract role offers flexibility—choose to work either two or three days a week, with schedules tailored to fit your needs. The assignment is designated for the fall semester, with the potential to extend into the second semester based on school needs. Responsibilities include delivering individualized and group physical therapy services to students, developing and implementing IEP goals, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with teachers and families. Youll play a vital role in supporting student growth and mobility, making each day impactful and meaningful. Qualifications and Desired Experience:Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois (required)Previous experience in school-based settings preferredAbility to effectively assess, plan, and implement therapy for elementary-aged childrenKnowledge of IEP processes and experience with collaborative educational teamsStrong communication, organizational, and documentation skillsComfortable with short-term contract roles during the academic year Key Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services to assigned students as outlined in IEPsConduct student assessments and participate in team meetingsCollaborate with other specialists, teachers, and families for a holistic approach to student successMaintain timely and detailed progress recordsAdapt therapy plans based on student progress and teacher feedback Benefits of this role include a flexible workweek, part-time scheduling, and consistent weekly pay every Friday.
