Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 to May 2027, with 37.5 hours per week serving primarily elementary and middle school students. With a manageable caseload of around 60, you will typically work onsite at one school (with occasional travel to a second location). Flexibility is key as the assignment occasionally requests supervisory responsibilities for candidates holding their CCC. Key Qualifications:Valid Alabama SLP (ASHA) License requiredMust hold a professional educator license for AlabamaSchool-based experience strongly preferredExperience (or openness) to working with elementary and middle school caseloadsCCCs encouraged to supervise as needed; Clinical Fellows also welcomeCollaborative approach and adaptability across school sites Primary Responsibilities:Assess and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for studentsDevelop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and district guidelinesEngage with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and families, to support student successProvide supervision to CFs (if holding CCCs)Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, primarily onsite with occasional travel to a second building Candidates with a passion for empowering students and a commitment to best practices in school-based speech-language pathology will find this contract position both fulfilling and impactful.
