ITS, LLC is seeking a
Systems Engineer with Product Owner experience
to join our team in
Aurora, CO . The Systems Engineer / Product Owner will support mission‑critical systems by combining strong systems engineering expertise with Agile product ownership to ensure technical solutions align with mission objectives, stakeholder needs, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead systems engineering efforts across the full system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and deployment.
Translate mission and stakeholder needs into clear system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Serve as Product Owner for assigned technical products or capabilities, owning and prioritizing the product backlog.
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams (software, hardware, cybersecurity, and operations) to deliver integrated solutions.
Conduct technical trade studies, risk assessments, and architecture evaluations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
Act as the primary liaison between government stakeholders, end users, and development teams.
Support system demonstrations, milestone reviews, and customer briefings.
Required Qualifications
Active
Top Secret (TS)
security clearance required at the time of hire.
Experience in a Systems Engineering role supporting complex or mission‑critical systems.
Prior experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar Agile role.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Ability to translate operational needs into technical requirements and prioritized backlogs.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
Familiarity with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience using Agile and requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or DOORS.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or other Agile certification.
Experience working in classified environments.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
5–10 years experience as a Systems Engineer with a background in Product Management.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
