
Business Development Manager- Creative and Digital

Position Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Business Development professional to join our team and help scale our Creative and Digital Marketing division nationally. You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and working closely with our delivery team to ensure high-quality candidates are matched with client needs. You’ll represent The Planet Group as a trusted partner, helping organizations solve short-term challenges and meet long-term strategic goals through top-tier talent.
Position Responsibilities
Sell Planet Interactive as a staffing business partner to prospective client companies through multiple resources – including cold calling, virtual or in-person client meetings, referrals, social media, etc.
Build and grow relationships with current and prospective company clients, manage fee negotiations and contracts, conversion rates and bill rates
Develop comprehensive account strategies to win new business from new and existing accounts
Communicate new job openings, closings, and feedback from the client to ensure strong candidate matches and line up interviews in a timely manner
Work with other Planet Group sales teams to upsell all Planet Group Staffing and Consulting services
Work independently and exercise independent judgment in the determination of engaging, developing, and maintaining suitable clients
Uncover immediate needs in our target market through leads and follow-ups, executing internal and external initiatives to drive profitable growth
Create and participate in sales meetings and presentations
Identify and attend key conferences and trade shows to increase company visibility and business opportunities
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
2–5+ years of new business development experience in technology staffing within the Creative and Digital space
Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and exceed sales targets
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the confidence to engage senior-level stakeholders
Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
A driven, self-starting attitude with a desire to succeed in a commission-driven environment
Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Base salary: $60,000 - $80,000 and uncapped commission structure
The base salary rate will be commensurate with experience level and past success. A competitive commission structure based on weekly spread is also provided.
