
Oncology Account Manager (Solid Tumor) Los Angeles - East, CA

Responsibilities
Accountable for driving area sales results and ensuring open patient access to GSK therapies in Los Angeles - East.
Develop and execute area business plans.
Identify and apply resources to the development of key prescribers and key account drivers within the area.
Engage proactively with key customers and account groups to ensure the promotion of both GSK therapies and the company image.
Work cross‑functionally to maximize brand availability and exposure within key accounts.
Collaborate with the team and Regional Sales Director to ensure successful launch and/or ongoing promotion of branded products.
Engage with the Regional Sales Director and cross‑functional partners on the development of programs and activities that will result in increased access to customers.
Basic Qualifications
4‑year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, biologic/specialty sales experience and/or 3+ years of clinical oncology experience, oncology education, patient care skills, and direct physician interface.
Valid driver’s license – must be able to drive or operate a vehicle; driving is an essential function of this role.
Must live in the designated geography; no relocation assistance.
Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel; travel may be up to 30% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of oncology sales and/or specialty sales experience; health‑system/institutional experience is a strong preference.
Experience in product marketing, specialty pharmacy, payer and state society activities is a plus.
Strong organizational skills to maintain a high level of productivity, innovation and priority‑setting and to complete assignments on time and on budget.
Proven ability to think strategically and work with a high level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with all levels of management and departments within the company.
Work Arrangement
This is a field‑based role. Most work is conducted in the field across the East Los Angeles area. You should be comfortable with regular local travel and occasional travel outside the territory.
The U.S. annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $161,250 to $268,750. The salary range takes into account a number of factors, including work location within the U.S. market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share‑based long‑term incentive program, which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
