Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of new products, components, and assemblies.
Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and technical specifications.
Perform design calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate product performance and integrity.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and cost‑efficiency (DFM/DFA).
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes based on performance requirements and cost targets.
Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including Bills of Material (BOMs) and engineering change orders (ECOs).
Support the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of new product development.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, PTC Creo, CATIA).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative design solutions.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
Experience or certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with prototyping, assembly, or shop floor operations.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
