Piper Companies is seeking an experienced
Senior System Analyst
to support a rapidly growing, tech‑driven insurance organization. The Senior System Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for the FAST Policy Administration System, leading requirements analysis, system evaluation, and cross‑functional collaboration to support product development and operational enhancements.
Responsibilities
Analyze and define system requirements for insurance and annuity products within the FAST Policy Administration platform
Collaborate closely with business users, product owners, developers, and QA teams throughout the SDLC
Troubleshoot production issues, perform defect analysis, and propose system improvements
Work with application vendors to identify system changes and document implementation plans
Develop process flows, training materials, and system documentation to support new functionality
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or related technology field
6+ years of progressive experience in system and data analysis, including web services and application components
2+ years of experience working with an insurance administration platform
Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to manage competing priorities
Background in insurance systems, ideally with experience in annuities or Policy Administration Systems
Compensation
$100,000 – $125,000 annual range plus full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, and legally required sick leave
On‑site schedule — three days per week at the Durham, NC headquarters
