The role provides hands-on training and mentorship to build foundational skills, with the goal of preparing the apprentice for certification and long-term success in the field.## ## **What You’ll Be Doing*** ## Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy diesel equipment and mobile machinery* ## Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues under the guidance of experienced mechanics* ## Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety* ## Safely utilize tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop systems in compliance with company procedures* ## Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to a safe, organized work area## **What Are We Looking For*** ## Demonstrated interest in heavy diesel mechanics, equipment maintenance, or a related skilled trade* ## Ability to learn technical concepts and apply problem‑solving skills in a hands‑on environment* ## Strong attention to safety, quality, and following established procedures* ## Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others* ## Capability to perform physical work, including lifting and working around heavy equipment* ## Willingness and ability to learn technical procedures and pursue certification## **Conditions of Employment*** ## Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check* ## Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check## **Work Environment*** ## Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.## **What We Offer*** ## $18-$24 per hour* ## 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions* ## Highly competitive benefits programs, including:
