- Night Shift: Monday Thursday 10PM - 6AM
What Does A Day In The Life Of A Trailer Jockey At KTP Look Like?
- Facilitate the movement of trailers and manage material logistics to and from the warehouse(s)
- Ensure a seamless material flow across the production plants
- Keep an accurate record of dropped trailers in the lot, including part number, date received, trailer number, lot number, and quantity
- Conduct daily truck inspections and communicate any issues before operation
- Make sure trucks are fueled and ready for operation
- Accurately and promptly handle all necessary paperwork
- Assist with Material Handling tasks as needed
Essential Functions
- Operate a Day Cab Truck and Yard Spotter (CLASS A CDL required)
- Read and comprehend Bill of Lading (BOL) for both inbound loads and outbound shipments
- Safely operate a sit-down electric forklift with utmost care / get forklift certified on your very first day!
- Familiarize yourself with the following equipment: (No prior experience? No problem! Our warehouse staff is here to provide training!)
- hand jack / drum dolly / clamp truck / scissors lift / powered hoist / powered floor scrubber / safety cage set up
