What Does A Day In The Life Of A Trailer Jockey At KTP Look Like?
Facilitate the movement of trailers and manage material logistics to and from the warehouse(s)
Ensure a seamless material flow across the production plants
Keep an accurate record of dropped trailers in the lot, including part number, date received, trailer number, lot number, and quantity
Conduct daily truck inspections and communicate any issues before operation
Make sure trucks are fueled and ready for operation
Accurately and promptly handle all necessary paperwork
Assist with Material Handling tasks as needed
Essential Functions
Operate a Day Cab Truck and Yard Spotter (CLASS A CDL required)
Read and comprehend Bill of Lading (BOL) for both inbound loads and outbound shipments
Safely operate a sit-down electric forklift with utmost care / get forklift certified on your very first day!
Familiarize yourself with the following equipment: (No prior experience? No problem! Our warehouse staff is here to provide training!)
hand jack / drum dolly / clamp truck / scissors lift / powered hoist / powered floor scrubber / safety cage set up
