The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Traverse City that are seeking Quality Supervisors. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Quality Control team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for non-conforming products and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and report on key quality metrics to management.
- Lead and participate in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits) to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain departments to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards before shipment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring quality personnel.
- Strong understanding and application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CQA)
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor quality personnel
