The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support to Dox’s client base, performing systems maintenance and support as well as resolving complex technical problems on client environments. This position requires excellent listening skills to understand issues and take corrective actions. Candidates will work with a multitude of clients in all different industries. Job Description: LAN Engineer
Ideal candidates should have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or three to five years of relevant industry experience) and be highly motivated and thrive working in a fast paced, deadline driven, customer focused environment.
Position Responsibilities include:
Listening to clients’ concerns and recommends and implements appropriate solutions
Providing server, storage, and network technical support
Installing and upgrading server hardware, software, storage and networking products.
Resolving complex technical problems on new and existing systems, including server hardware, software, storage and networking products
Ensuring compliance with company technical and quality standards and procedures
Delivering the highest degree of customer satisfaction
Escalating problems within parameters
Developing and maintaining client relationships
Identifying opportunities to expand or extend existing services
Communicating effectively with customers and Dox employees
Completing required documentation
Skills and Experience:
Network + and or A+ Certifications
Manufactures Certifications a plus
Working Knowledge of:
Virtual Environments – VMware, Hyper‑V & Citrix
Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems
Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems
Microsoft Exchange
HP, Dell and IBM Server hardware
Server utilities used to configure, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot hardware
Various backup solutions, i.e. Veeam, StorageCraft
Office 365 use and deployment
Ability to design and implement technology solutions for new and existing products/applications
Ability to manage multiple projects from start to completion
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong problem resolutions skills
