What You'll Be Doing
As a Floating Assistant Community Manager, you will support multiple communities by stepping in where needed to drive the full sales cycle, maintain operational excellence, and deliver an exceptional resident experience. This role requires flexibility, strong business acumen, and the ability to quickly build relationships with prospects, residents, and teams across different locations. You will play a key role in stabilizing operations, supporting occupancy goals, and ensuring consistency in service standards, while building a clear pathway toward a Community Manager position.
Travel between assigned communities to provide coverage and operational support as needed, ensuring continuity in performance and resident experience
Drive the leasing and renewal process by building strong connections with prospects and residents, utilizing effective sales techniques, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of each community
Lead, mentor, and support onsite teams in sales, marketing, and customer service to foster a positive and high-performing environment
Manage financial transactions, including rent collections, payments, and audits, ensuring accuracy in resident files across multiple communities
Explain lease provisions, oversee move-in processes, and conduct new resident orientations to ensure a seamless experience
Respond promptly to resident inquiries, proactively address concerns, and follow up to ensure resolution and satisfaction
Partner closely with maintenance teams to coordinate service requests and ensure timely completion of resident needs
Adapt quickly to different team dynamics, property types, and market conditions while maintaining consistent execution of company standards
Monitor market and property trends to support occupancy goals and provide insights for future business needs
What You'll Need To Thrive
Residential or commercial property management experience
Ability to travel & support our properties in the NJ, NYC and Westchester County locations.
Customer service and sales experience
High School diploma or equivalent
A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required if the employee will operate a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart) during their workday and/or as part of their role.
Computer literacy and effective communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in English for all work-related purposes.
Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
Office team employees, with limited exceptions, are required to use their own smartphone to perform certain aspects of their job. The device must have updated software and must be password-protected and compliant with in-house security systems.
Ability to use the computer effectively and read written communications. Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 15 pounds for the dissemination of documents, supplies, materials, etc. to various locations throughout the office/facility. May be required to climb stairs depending on the property structure.
Salary: $30.03 - $31.70/Hour
Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
