What You'll Be Doing:
Monitor and process daily workload in the applications system.
Quickly and accurately process all applications for prospective residents. Offer exceptional customer service to onsite teams by addressing concerns promptly, clearly communicating, and following up.
Acts as a trusted guide for all applicants, answering questions and navigating them smoothly and swiftly through the application process via phone, email, and other mediums, while providing an excellent customer experience.
Follow all internal and legal processes to provide applicants with alternative approval solutions (as appropriate).
Utilize fraud detection resources to ensure applicant legitimacy and make informed approval/denial decisions.
Proactively maintain knowledge of policies, procedures/principles, and screening system application.
Maintain a thorough understanding of changes in laws for assigned markets to ensure compliant application processes.
Partner with the Assistant Operations Manager and regional property management leaders to identify trends, issues, or areas of concern related to application processes and procedures; recommend process improvements, as appropriate.
Demonstrate initiative by readily taking on additional duties and participating in assigned special projects.
What You'll Need to Thrive:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
A college degree or some college coursework is preferred.
One or more years of professional work experience in underwriting, real estate or property management is required, along with knowledge of basic application processing with the ability to identify potential fraud.
Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
Experience in computer work including proficiency in keyboarding and navigating in a windows environment.
Should demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and excellent follow through.
Acting with a high level of confidentiality and discretion regarding customer applications and company information is required.
Salary:
$20.00- $21.00/ Hour
The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
Working Environment:
This position is 100% remote (work from home) in the following locations: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Washington DC. Please note: candidates located in California would need to relocate to another EQR market for this opportunity.
